This week, Monday, Infinity Nikki received a co-op update, and Shadows of Doubt received its first update in the 2025 roadmap. Tuesday, Breath of Fire 4 is now available through GOG, PROHIBEAST is strange and interesting, and Bridge Constructor Studio will receive a Summer release. Wednesday, Formula Legends will be released later this year. Thursday, why not? Let’s go three for three, as Project Motor Racing is also set to release later this year.
Moving on to the Epic Games Store, and it’s just one game, praise Vishnu. Released in 2023, GrahamOfLegend isn’t Graham Norton being allowed to swear during this year’s Eurovision, but the developer behind “lo-fi arcade space shooter,” Super Space Club. A touch more relaxed than this description might be, but Super Space Club is what if Asteroids was a Bullet Hell and tried to be a bit funky. I mostly don’t have a problem with that, at least initially.
However, Super Space Club is the only game available through both the PC and Mobile versions of the Epic Games Store, and thus, my regular problem with mobile games. Though Super Space Club is a lo-fi shooter “to chill to,” having my thumbs fingers in the way isn’t going to make me “chill.” In fact, I’ll single-handedly tell that guerrilla we’re all talking about sitting back and I’ll kill 100 men with my bare hands. That’s how “chill” I am with this sort of thing.
All this week, across the Epic Games Store on mobile and PC, you can pick up Super Space Club until the morning of Thursday, May 8th. Moving on to next week and we’re back to the “who do I have to kill to not have a disinterest in covering the Epic Games Store nonsense?“ From touch-typing tutor Touch Type Tale to side-scrolling beat ’em up, Deadtime Defenders. Oh how fun, two games I have extreme disinterest in that I’ll have to draw a paragraph out of.
