I love the Bridge Constructor games. They’ve always been a nice little puzzle romp for when I want to work my brain without really pushing myself or feeling too stressed. Now, developer Clockstone has announced the next game in the series, coming sooner than I would have thought.

Bridge Constructor Studio is coming to PC, PlayStation, Xbox consoles, and Nintendo Switch this summer. Additionally, the game will release across Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG. We don’t have a firm release date just yet, but here is what the press release says about what we know so far:

“Developer ClockStone and publisher Headup are announcing their engineering puzzle and creative sandbox game Bridge Constructor Studio will be available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation[,] and Xbox this summer. The game originally launched on Meta Quest at the end of last year.

Bridge Constructor Studio is the latest entry in the best-selling Bridge Constructor series. Players put their engineering skills to the test as they design their own constructions in animated 3D mini-dioramas, then start the simulation to watch their creations face the ultimate stability challenge.

Combining the best elements of previous Bridge Constructor games with a modern, charming visual style – and featuring an intuitive building system, easy controls, no budget constraints, and optional challenges – it’s the ultimate playground for seasoned builders as well as newcomers to the series.”

The press release also mentioned that the game will contain 70 challenging puzzles at launch. There will also be five biomes to build in, and without budget constraints, that leads to endless creativity.

I’m excited to see how the Bridge Constructor franchise has evolved with this new iteration. My favorite entry is Bridge Constructor Portal, but playing without budget constraints (with optional challenges as well as puzzles to enjoy) is sure to be a new and exciting twist.
