Squirrel with a Gun was one of the more “lighthearted” games I played last year. The weirdness of it is exactly what it says on the tin, need I say more? Luckily, the developers have decided to continue injecting some weird and wild fun into the game, this time with a new update.

Across all platforms, Dee Dee Creations announced a new update for Squirrel with a Gun. Dubbed the Gravity Gun Update, not only will you be getting the aforementioned Gravity Gun, but you’ll get some other fun things too. Here’s what the press release says about the update:

“Maximum Entertainment and Dee Dee Creations today announced another free update to Squirrel with a Gun, this time adding an all-new cutting-edge weapon: the Gravity Gun! Unleash the raw power of physics to maneuver to new spaces and reach new heights in the neighborhood.

Take a look at your favorite resident squirrel in action in the new update.

In addition to the new weapon, find five new golden acorns and don the fashionable Nuclear Fur skin, enabling Squirrel to radiate brilliant blue light. Human enemies will want to keep their distance, as getting too close will cause their hair to fall out.

In Squirrel with a Gun, you play a rodent with big dreams and an even bigger problem: a bunch of pesky Agents are out to get you. Armed with an assortment of powerful firearms, you’ll blast your way through challenging puzzles and daring escapes, all while gathering as many golden acorns as possible.

Need to make a quick escape? Fire off a multitude of weapons and use the recoil to propel yourself to safety. Collect guns, steal RC cars, waterski, and much more:  the world is your acorn in Squirrel with a Gun.”

The first thing that came to my mind with the Gravity Gun was speedrunning. I could easily see Speedrunners finding wild and crazy ways to use this in exploits and skips. Squirrel with a Gun isn’t that complex to begin with, but that was the first thing that came to mind. Regardless, a Gravity Gun to mess around with in an already fun and crazy game just adds a certain icing on the metaphorical cake. The Gravity Gun update is available now across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
